Well, another year has passed on the farm. This will be my third “happy new year” post for the blog. What is most interesting to me is the weather. The new year seems to always bring some cold sunshine and lots of wind. We are once again having a stretch of 4o mph winds, cold temps and bright sunshine!

I am excited to see what 2014 will bring. The past year was full of blessings and hardship, but all normal on a small farm. We saw the birth of our new baby goats. Had a huge tree fall. Battled the local coyote population. Improved our fences and our pastures. Had a great showing in the 4h fairs. But most important, we all learned valuable life lessons!
