This little gallery is to show the beginnings of spring at Windy Woods… it is just a taste of things to come!
Rabbit sightings abound!
The tall cherry is just about ready to burst into bloom!
Our forsythia is one of the first shrubs to burst into color.
The mint is starting to peek out.
The rhododendron’s buds appear.
These planted daffodils are up but not quite blooming.
The bees discovered this lovely smelling flowering bush!
The magnolia is getting ready to bloom.
The true sign of spring in the gorge.. the infamous Trillium!
The animals are shedding hair.
The oxalis is showing its tiny bloom.
The grass is starting to grow.
Nettle is coming up in force.
New trees are being planted.
This sunny spot has caused the salmonberry to bloom a bit earlier than its friends.
The goats relax in the warm sun.
The chickens are forging for new territory.
The raspberry leaves start to bud out.
Of course… the weeds begin to grow!
Tulip leaves emerge.
Our weeping cherry, the centerpiece… is almost ready to burst!
The hyacinth is just budding.
The wild daffodils are blooming their sunshine yellow!
A primrose peeks out from under the geranium.
