So, we did a little reconstructive surgery on our pasture today. The horses are coming home from their vacation… and we realized we really need a place where we can work with them on our property. We managed to actually create a 50 foot round pen, which is large enough to do ground work and even a little riding! Woo hoo!

Next is getting the ground leveled and the footing in place. Planning to layer up some old and new compost as well as used bedding to get a good flat layer. Then will need to add some sand or pea gravel to get the footing right for their hoofs.

So, excited to be working towards the goal of having an active, healthy farm that appreciates all our activities!
